HARDENED ELECTRONIC ASSETS TRANSPORT

The logistical foundation for a Technological Emergency Strike Team is an all-hazards cargo vehicle platform.  TACTICAL BROADBAND has selected the AM General High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV™ or “Humvee”) as a capable, durable, and standardized design on which to model our proposed Type III Hardened Electronic Assets Transport (HEAT).

Early model HMMWV™ units and National Stock Number (NSN) parts are abundantly available through surplus sales programs in the United States.  These vehicles are also designed to be operated and maintained in austere environments. Most crucially, the HMMWV™ is largely impervious to electromagnetic pulse effects and cyber intrusion methods due to its legacy diesel power plant and mechanical simplicity.  Interior space is accommodating for up to four crew members (e.g., one ITSL, one COMT, one AUXCOMM/specialist, and one driver/logistician) plus the modular equipment kits that will support their work in the field.

The result is a readily reproducible solution to meet the initial response needs of local agencies, communities, and organizations anticipating widespread technology disruptions in the future. Contact TACTICAL BROADBAND for consultation and project management services to begin assembling your organization’s own HEAT vehicle or fleet program today. SLTT agencies may additionally request free consultation services including material funding guidance.
