For larger and longer duration responses, TACTICAL BROADBAND proposes a Type I Hardened Electronic Assets Transport consisting of a custom modular EMP shielded facility secured to the cargo area of a U.S. M1085 (Long Wheel Base variant) FMTV 6×6 truck.

Modular EMP Shielded Facility

Produced by Armag Corporation, MIL-STD Modular EMP/HEMP Shielded Facilities can be designed to conform to intermodal shipping container specifications. These electromagnetically isolated containers can protect significantly larger technology caches and provide turn-key workspace typical of a Type I Mobile Emergency Operations Center. Additional customization can be implemented to provide power and HVAC penetrations without compromising the isolation rating of these proprietary facilities.

Military-Grade Mobility

The M1085 Medium Tactical Vehicle is designed to transport soldiers and cargo in International Standardized Operations Containers. The M1085 has a payload capacity of 10,000 pounds and to facilitate loading/unloading, the bed side rails are mounted on hinges. Soldiers are assisted climbing in and out of the cargo bed area with the aid of a ladder stowed on the vehicle when not in use. The M1085 can be equipped with a self-recovery winch capable of fore/aft vehicle recovery operations. The winch has 280 feet of line capacity and 15,500 pounds bare drum line pull at 110% overload. Other features of the M1085 platform include:

  • Full-time all-wheel drive
  • CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System)
  • Fully automatic transmission
  • Integral transfer case
  • Anti-sway bar
  • High horsepower-to-weight ratio
  • Fully MANPRINT compliant
  • EMP hardening
